Every day we come home frustrated that something has not gone off well, never has and never will. It fells like you are banging your head against the wall, and then we say, “I don’t know why, but I will miss this place”.

And that is the truth. Part of the answer is we will miss the people and the pace of life where there is always time for a coffee or party.

This last week we were treated to a farewell gathering for us and a French archaeology team. The Regional Office for National Culture hosted a very nice cocktail. Criss has been working there with computer support and Carol has been providing business management consulting. It has been a very rewarding but short engagement.

What was especially pleasing about this event is that all the workers were invited and not just the bosses. This little detail almost stole the show and you could tell everyone was appreciative of being invited.

So for about 3 hours we visited with friends, ate and danced. What a great way to end our service there. Of course, Carol was a hit because she could dance the traditional Albanian dances.
